During the first consultation, we aim to establish what you want to achieve from the space aswell as your style preferences. Also, importantly we will look at budget and timescales. Following from this initial meeting, we are able to send you a detailed proposal summarising ideas and requirements.
In the initial design phase, we undertake a full survey and this allows for space planning and furniture layouts to be developed using CAD. Rough sketches, 3D elevations and moodboards are also created to allow for full visualisation of the space. Preliminary furniture and finish ideas, as well as lighting and electrical plans are developed and then presented to the client for review and revision.
Development and revision of initial ideas and plans is based on client liaison and feedback. It is at this point we look into the detail of bespoke elements such as joinery and window dressings. After final approval of the design, the designer further develops the floor plans and elevations, presents samples and obtains quote for colours, finishes and furniture.
If you choose to move into the project management part of our service, the specific details of the work to be completed are documented. These details include schedules for floor and wall finishes, lighting and electrical layouts, plumbing locations and sanitaryware selection. In the second phase, quotes are obtained, contractors selected, and purchase orders are issued.
For the final stage of build and installation, the designer is often onsite to ensure items are received in good condition, installed correctly, and that documents have been followed properly.
